Bryson earned a BA degree from Muhlenberg College with a double major in Music Performance and Film Studies. Experiences included composing music for student films, conducting choirs, and extensive involvement in musical theater. He recently completed a year of volunteer service teaching in an inner city school in Chicago (see Press for more information). Bryson is now devoting his time to composing music for a Washington DC based documentary (thequinceorchardproject.com) as well as a musical set in Allentown, PA. He is a self-taught musician playing multiple instruments who enjoys playing by ear and composing on the fly.
In October 2017 Bryson attended the prestigious Le Giornate del Cinema Muto (International Silent Film Festival) as one of two Masterclass students. At the end of the week he improvised on the piano to The Deadlier Sex, (Robert Thomby, 1920), a 55 minute long silent film.
